How to get Cyber Essentials Plus
Cyber Essentials Plus is the next step after Cyber Essentials. It includes extra checks on your computers and systems to make sure your security settings have been set up correctly.
To get Cyber Essentials Plus, you must already have a Cyber Essentials certificate that is less than three months old. The assessment also includes extra tests to check that important security controls are working properly and helping to keep your organisation safe.
The tests we use include email and web-based malware assessments to see if malicious files can be downloaded by your users, and if your anti-virus and anti-malware system is actively protecting your systems from attack, we also perform an external vulnerability assessment against your network's Internet-facing services. This ensures there are no vulnerabilities present in these systems which could allow an Internet-based hacker to break into or abuse them.
